Palace Resort

This is my 10th year as a snowbird in Myrtle Beach but my first year at The Palace. We couldn't be happier. Great location and wonderful view. The staff have been amazing from front desk, housekeeping and maintenance. There is a covered parking garage and 24 hour security. I have already reserved my spot for next year. If you are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay this is it.

The rooms are a little outdated, but they are well equipped. Full kitchen. We were able to fix breakfast and some easy lunch. Location is great, close enough to Broadway, and beach front. The outdoors hot tubs are awesome.

We stayed for a week, rented through Airbnb not the hotel itself. It was beautiful. Multiple pools & hot tubs. Only complaint is there was little kids allllll over the hot tubs for days you couldn't get near them. Other than that the beach access is awesome. They do lock all gates at 11pm due to new security! If you want to do a late beach walk you have to go out the front and down the public beach access way! Beautiful time will be back for sure

Our weekend getaway here is exactly what we needed! We stayed in Palace 1506! Our air b n b host was Tracy W. We were impressed from Beginning to end! Beautiful view of the ocean, ocean front to be exact, clean space, up to date appliances, everything was perfect. Communication was A1 as well. If you’re ever in need of a getaway or just in myrtle beach, I highly recommend this stay and book with Tracy W!

Me and my wife have been staying here for about 26 years. We were very pleased with the amenities that the PALACE RESORT had. Free breakfast for the guests, free parking, house keeping daily, knowledgeable customer service staffs. Now, there is no free breakfast, no ice machines, you have to remove your own trash, there is a $15 charge for lost wristbands to use for the pool, some refrigerators do not have ice makers eventhough the staff will say it does. some staff have a lack of knowledge when you have questions, don't inform guests of all of the extra fees until you arrive, for example, parking fee, whether you need housekeeping or not, not available. Fortunately, the manager that we addressed the concerns to was very professional by having a listening ear, and they have 24 hour security. It's sad that greed is more important for today's hotels than the wellbeing of the guests. They don't even give out do not disturb signs anymore. Saturday September 27, 2025: We have the same concerns listed above but overall, the PALACE RESORT came through when we had reported a water leakage issue. They had transferred me and my wife to a better room and apologized for the inconveniences. Yesterday we had decided to stay an extra night. We know that it is a challenge for businesses to please their customers all of the time but hopefully in the future, it gets better. I'd change my rating from a one to a four star.

My parents have stayed here 3 times now. The first time they stayed they did not like their room. So they went down and asked if they could have a different room. They were able to switch without any hassle. This last time they stayed their room was amazing. I told my parents to make sure they write down the floor and room number so they can request it the next time they come down and visit us. My kids love the pools and the little mini golf. The waterslides are across the road. They did not like those to much as it hurt their backs when going down the waterslides. So far great experience for my parents!

Overall enjoyable stay. Yes, the place could use some updates but it’s not too bad. Pros: Spacious rooms, Beautiful ocean views, beach access, 2 pools and 4 hot tubs, Sauna rooms. Access to small waterpark across the street. Felt safe and the environment was cool and calm. Security guards on site. Oh and I didn’t see any rodents in my room during my stay. Cons: BEWARE of either a $ 250 refundable deposit or $ one time flat rate of $39 for parking. Rooms could use more cleaning as far as sweeping and mopping. The extra pillow set, the pillowcase was dirty. (glad I bring my own bedding) Pools should be skimmed and cleaned every morning. I saw them shock them but not skim debris out.

Shelley and Jeff were great hosts and extremely responsive during our stay. The ocean front condo we stayed in was perfect and had everything we needed. It was literally steps from the beach. Each bedroom had a balcony overlooking the ocean. It was so nice enjoying our coffee in the morning on the balcony watching the sunrise and a new day begin. Parking was effortless as we were able to park in the covered parking garage. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
